Production Cowboys are a fine example of an "all around knife" or an "EDC" (every day carry). The Cowboy model, designed by Nick, is specifically formulated to be easy to carry and use.
With a 3-1/4" blade, this knife will cut string, slice an apple, open boxes, etc., but also boasts a larger belly which make it convenient for skinning game and preparation of food while camping or other outdoor activities.
At an overall length of 7-3/4" though, this knife is not cumbersome to carry on your belt in public settings. (Be sure to always check local laws concerning your location and it's specific regulations). 

The production model of the Cowboy is made from 1080 high carbon steel with generally an exotic hard-wood handle and brass pins with a brass lanyard tube.

This knife features a Walnut handle.

Walnut is a popular American hardwood known for its fine-yet-open grain, unique patterns, and bold dark color. Walnut is easy to cut, shape and sand, and the wood takes on a fine finish when oiled and polished. It is a favorite for furniture, paneling, musical instruments and sculptures. Black Walnut is from North America and grown for woodworking and is a moderately hard wood.
